How Honey actually works

Honey is a browser extension that tries stored codes at checkout rather than a shop, so there is nothing here to discount. It can overwrite cashback tracking from another site, which is how people lose a rebate worth more than the code it found.

1. 1

   Understand what the extension does

It tests stored codes at checkout and earns affiliate commission on the resulting sale.

2. 2

   Watch for cashback conflicts

It can overwrite another site's affiliate tracking, forfeiting a rebate larger than the code found.

3. 3

   Verify a code actually applied

Confirm the discount on the order summary rather than trusting the pop-up.

4. 4

Disable it when using a cashback click-through

Running both at once frequently voids one of them.

• New offers first — Honey promo codes and deals appear on this page as we find them.

1. 1Bookmark this page — new Honey offers appear here as we find them, so it's an easy way to catch the next working code.
2. 2Check the Honey basket page before you pay: brands frequently run an automatic discount that needs no code at all.
3. 3Check back before you pay full price: the moment a Honey code or deal lands, it appears at the top of this page.
