How to Use a SHEIN Coupon Code (and Why It Gets Refused)

A SHEIN coupon code takes seconds to use once you know where the box is. The catch is SHEIN's own rule that only one coupon works per order, and that some items aren't eligible for coupon discounts at all, which is why so many codes seem to fail. This guide shows exactly where to enter a SHEIN coupon code, why one gets refused, and how SHEIN Points, free shipping and returns fit around it, with every rule taken from SHEIN's own US policy pages.

For today's SHEIN codes and deals, see our SHEIN coupon codes page.

How to use a SHEIN coupon code, step by step

1. Add your items to your bag on us.shein.com or in the SHEIN app, and go to checkout.
2. Find "Coupon & Code". It sits above the Gift Card section and the ORDER AND PAY button, with an "Enter coupon code" field, an APPLY button and a "My Coupons" link.
3. Paste the code exactly as you received it, with no space before, inside or after it. SHEIN recommends copying and pasting to avoid typos.
4. Press APPLY. SHEIN warns that if you continue without clicking Apply, your order total won't include the discount.
5. Check the total before you press ORDER AND PAY.

SHEIN coupon not working? The real reasons

SHEIN's coupon policy and payment help page explain almost every refused code:

• Another coupon is already on the order. Only one coupon can be redeemed per order, and coupons can't be stacked or combined.
• The item isn't eligible. SHEIN says some items on its website are not eligible for coupon discounts, and some coupons only apply to non-sale products.
• It's a third-party seller item. Marketplace items only accept coupons that SHEIN marks as eligible for third-party sellers' products.
• It has expired. Every coupon has an expiration date, and an expired coupon can't be redeemed.
• It's already been used. A coupon can only be used once.
• It's for another SHEIN site. Coupons issued on the US site or app only work on the US site and app.
• You didn't press Apply, or a stray space came with the code.

The types of SHEIN coupons

SHEIN's coupon policy lists the kinds of coupons it issues:

• Fixed-amount coupons, such as a set number of dollars off.
• Percentage coupons on the total price of an order.
• Percentage coupons that only apply to non-sale products in an order.
• Free shipping coupons, for either the cheapest or the most expensive shipping option.

To see the ones you hold, go to Personal Center > My Assets > My Coupons. An expired coupon is marked "unavailable" and deleted after 3 months.

Where SHEIN coupons come from

According to its coupon policy, SHEIN may offer coupons when you register a new account, on the homepage and order page of the site and app, when you download the app by scanning a QR code, through a coupon pop-up on the homepage, after you complete a purchase, and through influencers it works with. Coupons from the homepage or from influencers are not linked to your account, so they won't show up in My Coupons.

SHEIN's site also shows offers for new shoppers, such as the "Enjoy 30% OFF on your first order!" banner we saw when signing in, in October 2026. The exact terms appear at checkout.

SHEIN Points: worth 100 to the dollar

Points are SHEIN's other discount, and unlike a second coupon, you can use them at checkout alongside your coupon code. The rules, from SHEIN's Bonus Point terms:

• Value: 100 points = $1, and points can pay for up to 50% of an order, but not shipping, taxes or fees.
• Purchases: about 1 point per dollar spent, on orders over $20, once you confirm delivery. Confirm within 6 months of the order date or the points aren't awarded.
• Reviews: up to 17 points per item: 5 for a review, 10 more with a photo, and 2 more with size information.
• Other ways: verifying your email when you register (up to 100 points), the check-in program, app activities and SHEIN livestreams.
• Limits: points expire, can't be used on some third-party seller products, and only work on the SHEIN site where you earned them.

SHEIN free shipping: $29, or $15 on some days

On products shipped by SHEIN, standard shipping is free on orders over $29. It's free over $15 on Sundays and Thursdays, and on your very first order. Below $29, standard shipping cost $3.99 when we checked in October 2026, and express shipping is $12.90 under $139 or $7.90 over $139. Two things to watch: marketplace sellers can set their own thresholds, and cancelling an item that drops your order below the threshold adds the shipping fee back.

Returns: 30 days, first return free

• Most items can be returned within 30 days of delivery. Some third-party seller products have a longer or shorter window, shown on the product page.
• Your first return from an order is free, subject to SHEIN's Fair Use Policy. For any later return from the same order, $6.99 is deducted from your refund.
• Bodysuits, lingerie, underwear, jewelry, accessories, cosmetics, pet products, clearance and final-sale items, free gifts and customized items can't be returned.
• If you return or cancel an order you used a coupon on, the coupon goes back to your account, unless it has expired, wasn't linked to your account, or the return was only partial. On a partial return, if the items you keep no longer meet the coupon's minimum spend, your refund can be reduced by up to the coupon amount.

More ways to pay less on SHEIN

• Compare the coupons in My Coupons before checkout, because only one can be used.
• Use your SHEIN Points on top of your coupon: 100 points take $1 off.
• Shop on a Sunday or Thursday if your bag is between $15 and $29, for free standard shipping.
• Confirm delivery of each order so the points are added.
• Leave a review with a photo and your size for up to 17 points per item.
• Keep your first return for when you need it: later returns from the same order cost $6.99.
• Check that an item can be returned before you buy it, as many accessories and final-sale items can't.
